One of us made her career in the publishing industry and is now a literary agent. The other is a serial self-published author of over thirty books (and counting). Between the two of us, we’ve experienced many of the highs, lows and traumas the publishing industry has to offer.
We created literaryagent.co.uk to empower authors with the knowledge and tools they might need to navigate the publishing landscape. We know literary agents, editing and self-publishing extremely well, and we’ve got the scars and stories to prove it. And so we wanted to use our little corner of the internet to share some of the lessons we’ve learned.
From making the minor or major manuscript tweaks that will captivate your readers, or crafting a submission letter that will grab an agent’s attention, right through to harnessing the self-publishing tools at your disposal if you choose to explore that route to market, we’re in your corner.
Remember, everything we say on this website an opinion. We’d like to think those opinions are accurate, well-informed and based on a lot of real-life experience. But they are opinions nonetheless, and there exceptions to every rule. When it comes down to deciding what’s best for your own work, go with your gut. It’s usually right.
